Etude House Watercolor Blusher Review

etude house watercolor blusher review pink coral

Every time I enter Etude House, I get giddy. with excitement. It's like a teenage version of a dollhouse complete with cute cosmetics plus the staff calls you "princess". How's that for a royal treatment?

On my recent visit, I gravitated to this blushers that are shaped like watercolors that you see in art store. Aptly named Etude House water color blusher, there are available in 4 colors, #1 pink, #2 Coral, #3 Apricot and #4 violet. I got the pink and coral to match the lipsticks that I have.

Texture:

As you can see, it's a little bit creamy on the runny side. I love the gel texture as the color deposit is quite sheer and you can build the effect by adding more to your cheeks.

Color:

Color is true to the packaging color. The #1 pink is a light bubblegum color while the #2 coral is a peachy color.

Coverage:

When swatched on the skin, it's very sheer and natural. There's no glitter and it's perfect for those days when you put on natural makeup. It lasts for about 3-4 hours on the cheeks before fading, probably longer on colder climates as the humidity where I live melts everything!

This is # 1 pink used as a blusher. It has a natural look and the pink is just right for my skin tone.

#2 coral used as blusher. As you can see, it is true to its color and has a more noticeable color deposit. This is perfect to pair with red and coral lippies for a more grown up look.

Price:

348 pesos at your local Etude house branch.

Verdict:

I love it! I find myself reaching for this on an everyday basis as the effect is very natural and adds a moist effect to the cheeks (think k pop glow!). So if you're in the market for a blusher that's affordable and natural effect, then this blusher is for you.

O hui White Extreme whitening blemish balm review

ohui white extreme bb

Part of the O hui white extreme line, this bb cream offers all in one skin whitening

Product Description:
It brightens the skin while serving as a shield against UV rays. This lightweight, refreshing balm helps the skin keep its genuine, youthful radiance

Benefits and effects:
Helps to brighten the skin and promote it from UV rays (SPF 34/PA++)

I bought this bb cream after reading Hope in a Blog's post on top bb creams. I have fair skin and I was looking for a bb cream that minimizes the grey cast most bb creams have. Prior to this, I have only used Skin Food and etude house bb creams. I'm running out of my current bb cream and I wanted to try a bb from a high end brand.

Texture:
Quite runny and easily spreadable. I find that this bb cream doesn't cake and very lightweight on the skin.

Coverage:
Coverage is just medium. For a natural and radiant look, this bb cream is enough but I prefer putting a powder foundation over it for more coverage.

Color:
The color is very light and has a slight pink tinge. When spread, it leaves a radiant cast on the skin as if a luminizer is used on the skin. I opened a sample of Innisfree natural green tea bb cream and swatched both on my hand, you can see below how the color compares.

Verdict:

I've been using this for two weeks now and I absolutely love it! I adore how it doesn't cake on the skin and it's an excellent makeup base. The radiant effect on the face is visible even if I dust on powder foundation and I just love the glow effect on my face. It is also long lasting which is always a plus in the hot and humid place where I live. However, the Ohui white extreme blemish balm is probably most suited to lighter skin tones as it has a very slight whitish cast.

Where to buy:

I bought mine at Koreadepart for 36 dollars.
